We welcomed the student managers from Missouri State University – Springfield for a team building session. Twelve students and three advisors arrived at opening to spend the day starting, working on and completing a project and learn to work together in the process. This group had not been together before. We let them put up wattle and daub on the Textile Hut. Some put up the wattle (the woven part of the wall made of reed) and some mixed the daub (clay, straw, sheep manure and water) and some put it on the wall. Needless to say, many of them got really dirty! (and smelly, too.). The advisors said it would be hard to top this experience next year. The group went away with much to talk about and analyze, as well as a feeling of sharing a job and working together to get it done. If your group is interested in a Team Building opportunity with Ozark Medieval Fortress, give us a call! (It won’t always be wattle and daub!).
