The Architect Day

A new experience

This is your chance for an experience of a life time. Come and participate in completing the Architect’s Model of our castle. Our own architect, Steve Hurd from Little Rock will be on site to construct our replica model of what our Fortress will look like when it is finished 20 years from now. He needs your help!

12-hour experience

There will be four 3-hour sessions to choose from – or come to all four! Sessions are for children ages 9-14, boys or girls. You will start at the quarry to understand the extraction of stone, then on to mix mortar with our masons. Next, take your stone and mortar to the scale model and complete a section of the wall following our own architectural plans.

Medieval souvenir

Just $28/session, which includes a day-pass to the site, a three hour class with our architect and a 13th century-style souvenir level. Your parent/guardian will receive group-rate entry fee for the day as well.

Sessions on

  • Tuesday June 15, 2010
  • and Wednesday June 16, 2010

  • either from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM
  • or from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM

Just $28/session

Picnic facilities are available on site.

Bring your whole family for a Day with the Architect!
