Using a Compass at the Fortress

Have you ever tried to make a perfect circle? Did you use a compass to do it? A compass is a great tool for circle-making with its fixed point and moving radius. How do you think our masons are keeping our towers nice and round? Using a compass! Check out this authentic medieval tool used to make sure the tower walls are not only straight, but that the circle remains true. That’s mason team leader Anthony showing us how the compass works.
