MEDIEVAL GUNPOWDER: Scott and Eleanor Crawford

Watch explosive lectures on the history and manufacture of gunpowder during the Middle Ages — complete with on-site manufacture of 13th century recipe gunpowder and the firing of a medieval gonne.

WEAPONS AND ARMOR, HUNTING AND WAR: Steven Roe

Examine weapons and try on armor as you learn just how much hunting and warfare had in common in the Middle Ages — and how modern reenactors still practice these skills.

SIEGE WARFARE: Richard and Matthew Swinney

View a 1:20 scale diorama of a castle under siege (complete with catapult, battering ram, siege tower, ballista, trebuchets and more), then try your hand at shooting working scale model siege engines.

Ozark Medieval Fortress is located about halfway between Little Rock, AR, and Springfield, MO, close to Harrison, AR or Branson, MO. GPS coordinates 36.436, -93.062.
