For 18 months now, in the heart of America, Arkansas to be exact, they have been hammering away at their dream to build a medieval castle.
But not just any castle, a real, authentic fortress with 5 ft thick walls, and towers rising more than 60 ft out of the bedrock. It is being done using only 13th century methods!
They have given themselves 20 years to reach their goal.
The first year, thousands of visitors found themselves stupified at the reality of this extraordinary feat.
Why do they want to build a castle here?
The interest is scientific and educational. This construction is fully supported by French and American historians for credibility.
So, it will be the first real medieval castle built on American soil.
The location is called the Ozark Medieval Fortress. People will be talking more and more in the years to come as there is only one other place in the world to see such a project that focuses on using resources underfoot and historic methods, tools and crafts from the Middle Ages to build a castle like you would see in Occidental Europe
It is a unique spectacle, a passionate adventure that everyone wants to know more about.
